Seatguru.com has information on the most eco-friendly airlines and aircraft. The winners? Continental Airlines, EasyJet and Lufthansa. The least fuel efficient airplane was Boeing’s twin-engine MD-82. Top honors went to the Airbus A319, Boeing 787 as well as slower but much more fuel efficient turboprop planes.
